Antique 1889 Union Pacific Railroad Lantern A&W Clear Cast Ext. Base Globe BOLD

Offered is an Antique Collectible Union Pacific Railroad Lantern by The Adams & Westlake Co. Patented in 1889 - is the last date on lid. The Serial Hardware Inventory # stamped on frame below bottom of globe is: 34574.

It has a Twist off bottom with ornate brass burner on wick raiser turn dial, works and holds fuel, complete with an original style wick. Clear Cast extended base globe is bold on the embossing, shows wear from age & use - slight cloudy appearance in the upper portion, no major cracks, but shows flake chipping to the top and bottom edges, with an inside bottom edge front flaw. These flake chips are not really seen while resting in the frame and it stands 5-7/16 tall. The frame also shows very bold stamped letters on the lid. Overall it displays very well, is in good condition for age, and is scarce to find. Shows a few small dimple dents, no major rust and or pitting & stands straight with good solder joints. Everything turns, rotates, operates, complete.
