Large Original Vtg Western Cullen Railroad Crossing Warning Signal Light Sign. This listing is for a large original Western Cullen railroad crossing signal light. The red lens measures right at 11 1/2" diameter, is 20" wide overall, and hood cover is 13" x 12" wide. The red lens is made of a heavy plastic, and in good shape with minor wear and a few light scratches.

This light was made by the Federal Sign & Signal Corporation and the elbow on top is marked Harmon. The story behind this light. I got this from a man at a flea market who cleaned out his storage unit and brought items in to sell. Some years ago, his then teenage son got into a accident and hit the pole that this light hung from. The man was made to pay for this light, and he told the railroad If I pay for it, I get it.

So he got the light. This happened in Illinois, but forget where and which railroad he dealt with. This has been in storage for years, and I don't know if it works or not, but was told it did before the accident. It does have some scratches, and the black metal guard around it does have a few bends.
