Looks to be solid, strong, quite straight, symmetrical and complete with some marring/rub marks/scratches, some light surface rust and a few dings/dents on the bottom/burner and knob (see photos 9 & 21). Bottom looks very clean and I don't see any holes. The large wick adjustment knob on the bottom turns easily (nice feature as the wick can be raised or lowered while wearing gloves) and the small ratcheted burner wheel turns raising and lowering the wick (see photos 12 & 13). Has a "Twist Off" fount but I haven't been able to get it to twist off (seems to be on very tight but can likely be remedied in the right hands). The burner is marked "K-C" - "Trade Mark" and looks to be in excellent condition (see photos 12, 16 & 17).
There is some fuel residue remaining inside the fount (see photo 15). Globe: Heavy/thick glass (weighs 1 pound) and embossed on front with P. " in Serif Letters (5/8" tall lettering) and has some light discoloration, marring/rub marks/scratches, some flea bites here and there and some nicks/chipping on top and bottom. Rims but I don't see any breaks or cracks (see photos 2-7). Overall the Lantern has excellent color/patina with nice clear embossed lettering on the Globe and on the Dome that would display nicely.Globe stands 5 3/8 inches tall and the lantern stands approximately 10 1/2 inches tall with a base diameter of 6 3/4 inches. Total weight of Lantern w/ Globe is 3 pounds. Comes from my late father's Railroadiana collection of over 50 years. Please look at the photos carefully as I've tried to show the wonderful condition of this item that comes from a smoke free, pet free and climate controlled environment.
