Adlake Kero Illinois Central Railroad ICRR Lantern 1931 Original Globe Adams

This is a January 1931 Adams and Westlake Adlake Kero railroad lantern issued to the Illinois Central Railroad, identified by the I. The fount bottom is stamped Adlake Kero 1-31 with US patent numbers 1415633, 1415634, 1415635, and 1660194, and Canada patents dated 1921 and 1923. The original embossed Adlake Kero globe is present and intact. The wire cage frame and bail handle are intact.

The lantern displays natural age patina consistent with its railroad service history and 95 years of age. Height measures approximately 10 inches to the top of the bail.
