Aetna Lantern By Taylor manufacturing Company 1874 Pennsylvania Railroad

For your consideration is an Atena model lantern made my Taylor Manufacturing out of New Britain CT. This lantern was shown in an 1874 catalog.

I picked this up about a year ago, it had the wrong globe in it so I added a PRR globe which is the correct size for this lantern. The Aetna is a model known to have been found with a PRR embossed brass top.

I have not tried this with fuel but I have no questions that it would work. The solder joint is a little loose on one side of the chimney. The metal is extremely solid so it would clean up great.
