Antique BRASS J. A. Van Dyk & Zoon Kerosene Railroad Lantern LARGE Lens COMPLETE

This is an antique J. Van Dyk & Zoon Kerosene Railroad Lantern. It appears to be painted brass. It features a LARGE 5-1/2 round clear lens. It also has a small light port on the rear.

The lantern appear to be COMPLETE - the glass is good and it includes the fuel tank and wick assembly. I believe it is European in origin.

The lantern itself is large- 19 to the top of the handle. 9" deep and 8" wide not including hold-down lugs on both sides.

Door latch works fine and it has its brass manufacturing plate mounted on the front. This alntern would look spectacular if the layers of paint were removed.
