Antique D&H Delaware & Hudson Railroad Dressel 15.5 Caboose Mount Lamp Lantern

This is an authentic antique lamp/lantern that features a mount/bracket on the lower side. The lantern was converted into electric at one time and the light works great. Measures approx 15 1/2 inches tall (not including the handle) and the bell bottom shaped base measures approx 6 1/2 inches round.

There is a crack on the lower side area of the lantern (see photo 4). I do not see any dings or dents on the lantern. The top of the lantern is stamped The Dressel Railway Lamp Works New York Chicago.

One side of the lantern is stamped D & H Co. The top area of the mount/bracket is stamped 459. Comes with 4 lenses that are not attached to the lantern (2 amber and 2 yellow). The lenses do not have any cracks or chips.

The 2 amber lenses are made by Corning. I did not find any identification marks on the yellow lenses.

The cord has no rips, holes or fraying and is not brittle/stiff. There is some glare in the photos that could not be avoided.
