Antique Dietz ACME Inspector Lamp Railroad Lantern New York USA Dietz Fitall 2 Cnx, Corning Conex Etched R Co. The lantern has a burner with a wick that can be adjusted with the side handle. The fill cap is intact and loose. The clear globe can come out easily and is a Dietz FITALL NY USA CNX 2 by Corning Conex and is etched R Co.
I believe it is the first. I researched the R Co. And can not come up with a name of the RR other then Baltimore and that is not it I do not think. The globe is intact no chips or crack some fine rim chips that are consistent with age. The top handle has a wire on it as seen in the photos. Please note behind the rear reflector shield is a broken piece of something, also the reflector has a couple small chips out of it but that is not what is loose. I will pack tissue in there to keep from moving around. Just remove the globe and remove the tissue easily. The patent dates are on the front top by the finger guard there are several dates. On the back is Dietz Acme Inspector Lamp New York USA. Has two handles and can be hung on a wall nail.Size 14 1/4" tall 7" diam. Base and 8" x 9" front to side can be see in the photos. The item may have aging spots, rust and/or pitting check the photos. Has not been cleaned, polished or oiled to maintain vintage integrity. In good condition as seen in the photos.
