Antique New York Central Dietz Vesta Railroad Lantern with NYC RR Globe

Up for your consideration is a New York Central Dietz Vesta Railroad Lantern with a matching clear cast NYC RR globe. The lantern lid is marked "NEW YORK CENTRAL" and is marked with the EARLIEST patent date of "DEC 15-93" -- It is very difficult to read the latest patent date. The top of the smoke dome is marked "DIETZ VESTA NEW YORK U S A". The clear globe is embossed N. " in an oval frame and "CNX.

This lantern is in complete, original condition. The wire cage is complete and free of any breaks. Light rust, damage to the back side of the smoke dome, light scratches, and some residue on the frame. Fount and burner are complete and free of any cracks or holes.

The globe is free of any cracks or repairs but does have some small chips to top and bottom rims. Globe has some nice swirling and bubbles that are indicative of its age.
