3 Conductor Railroad Lantern that from research I'd date this late in the 1800's to early 1900's. A true collectors piece and hard to find lantern and is all brass that appears to be nickle (or some silver colored metal) plated. Everything other than a globe seems to be present and working including the wick advance. The burner is threaded and tank is fairly clean. The lantern is approximately 9 3/4" tall (16" tall to the top of the handle) and 5 1/8 wide at base / tank.
Dietz Company , New York USA. Not many out there and this one could use some love and restoration. I will leave that to the next owner or someone with expertise in restoration.
Well the obvious is that it is missing the globe and all around it shows it's age. No attempts have been made to improve the appearance of this lantern.Literally it is as found and I did not want to risk damage in making any attempt at cleaning etc. I did gently brush dust off and gave it a couple puffs of canned air for the photo shoot.
