Chicago and North Western Railway tall hand lantern with matched cast globe
Chicago and North Western Railway Adams and Westlake tall globe hand lantern. Double wire guard frame is 10 1/2 in height at the chimney top. Base diameter is 7 1/2. Corning globe has cast C.
" at the front with the Corning logo and "Made In U. The top rim has a small flea bite seen in the photo.
The lid shoulder has C. Stamped, with the last Adams and Westlake patent dated 1-26-1909. The lid opens with the triangular thumb latch. Fuel fount is drop-in, is clean and has a working wick adjuster matching the 1909 patent date. The frame is solid, clean and straight. It shows that it has had good care.
