CHICAGO MILWAUKEE & ST PAUL RAILROAD LANTERN BRASS TOP A&W C. This lantern has very nice patina to it. Far from perfect but displays very nicely. Brass Top has one dent towards the top and the lower seam where it meets the lid has some cracked edges. Includes the correct ratcheting globe retainer built into the lid.
Includes an early Corning Globe embossed to match the frame with the more rare squared border around the letters. Globe has some soot spots and paint specs, but in overall very nice condition. Bell is in nice condition with patina to match the frame. Bell clips on and off of frame as designed. Burner is the correct Adlake style, but is seized in the the threaded Fount. When I got this lantern, the top half of the burner had broken away from the threaded base. I repaired it with super glue and unless you look closely, it displays nicely. Wick adjustment knob still moves wick, but to be considered a functioning lantern, a new burner would need to be installed.
