Chicago & North Western 1909 Adams Red Cast Serif Globe Railroad Lantern

CHICAGO & NORTH WESTERN 1909 ADAMS RED CAST SERIF GLOBE RAILROAD LANTERN. Last patent date 1909 Adams & Westlake, "The Adams" frame stamped on the lid, "C&NWRy" for the Chicago & North Western Railway. The frame has some pitting but a little tougher to come by compared to the more commonly seen Reliable models.

Complete with the lid latch, globe retainer assembly, bail, and comes with an early Adlake 200 fuel font, but the burner is an old, brass Adlake and dated 1909 for tall globe models. There are many pinholes in the underside of the frame, as evident in the pics.

Best part of the set is the matching red cast globe embossed, "C&NWRy" with the Corning, Cnx logo on the backside. This is the larger serif version and not blocks like most Cnx globes. One no show in the frame rim chip along the bottom. Great globe that could be placed in a better condition frame or can be enjoyed as is on the shelf.
