Offered is an Antique Collectible A. Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Lantern made by the Adams & Westlake Co.
Stands 10-1/4" tall to top of dome & has 6" diameter base. Bell Bottom nicely stamped for the A. The Corning cast globe has a nice bold strike and no cracks & marked for Santa Fe. Has casting marks, some scuffs, and typical edge wear from age and use. The Fuel pot is stamped: USE KEROSENE OIL ONLY - brass 1/2 thread in burner unmarked - has wick and works well fits well with burner shaft below the globe seat. Everything turns, rotates, operates as it should. These frames were typically marked By The Adams & Westlake Co. Via the top stamped fuel pots.Call it what you want to. Fresh out of Nevada where they produce some of the nicest rust in the country. Offered AS IS, AS SHOWN in photos, so please use a good zoom to view it better.
