EARLY London Veritas Railroad Oil Lantern Lamp With Rotating Color Lenses

This unusual lantern comes with original lantern oil insert with reflector. The top handle pulls out and turns to change the color of the lens from red, blue, clear and amber Each lens features 3 colored glass panels. Lantern is in very good antique condition with wear typical of age and use. Has some patina and paint wear. Plaque on top states Veritas Lamp Works - London - British Mark. Most of our items are obtained through our Antique & Collectibles store in Lake Grove, NY, hand-picked from our client's collections and found in the wild at estate sales. Sometimes we do get history on the items, sometimes we don't. We pride ourselves in describing our items and taking detailed photos the best we can.
