Erie Diamond Railroad Lantern 1941 Adlake Kero
This lantern is in great condition. There is an E in a diamond logo on the top of the dome. The lantern metal has some minor surface wear and some light surface patina and some minor soiling. The color overall is a light to medium gray. The chimney has minor soot and some minor surface rust on the deflector and spring.
There is a little surface rust here and there. The frame has a very good shape to it.
The handle / bale has a smooth, dark patina surface with a minor bend on one side. The clear, thick and crack free Corning Cnx embossed globe is very nice. It has a wide, raised oval and has a black, painted E in a diamond which is mostly intact. Looks like an etching stencil was used. Some minor chipping around the top edge and one on the bottom edge. The top edge has some minor "flea bites" and on the bottom, are almost non existent. Added bonus of a very nice ADLAKE KERO cast on the back side. The Adlake 300 burner and the fount are in very good condition. There is minor surface patina and soiling.The wick moves up and down when the dial is turned, as expected. Part of the area of the frame around the fount has a little surface rust. The fount has no holes.
