The rail line ran over 50 miles from South Ashburnham, Massachusetts to Bellows Falls, Vermont. The railroad became the center of activities in these then rural towns. The lantern is about 10 inches tall to the top of the lantern, it does have a swing handle. The glass dome is etched with the initials of the line "CRR".
The globe does have a "V" shaped crack in it. The globe is very solid and does not seem to have been weakened by this crack. It is in good condition for its age and rareness. This is the real deal.
The Lantern is about 10 1/4" to the top of the lantern, and 16 1/2" to the top of the handle. It is about 5 wide. Pieces from this Railroad line are super hard to find since it was not in operation for very long.
