Frisco-St. Louis San Francisco Railway 1909 Handlan-Buck CE Bell-Bottom Lantern

Nice 1909 Frisco Handlan-Buck bell-bottom railroad lantern with a tall clear etched "Frisco" Macbeth-Evans Co. Melon globe that is sure to please any collector!

This hard to find frame has been cleaned of oil, dirt and light surface rust, then hand polished and is in very good condition. The frame is very straight and has solid metal and tin, and has only a couple of small dings on the top lid.

Embossed on the base of the bell-bottom frame "Frisco". It does show some very minor surface roughness on the bell bottom and portion of the top lid. The top of the lid is embossed The Handlan, Handlan-Buck Mfg.

The clear etched "Frisco" 5 3/8 tall melon or barrel globe is in very good condition with factory straw marks and air bubbles. It is partially marked above the Frisco logo with the Macbeth-Evans Co.

The top rim of the globe has one very small outside rim flake. The bottom rim has two minor outside rim flakes. These will not be seen when in the frame. The original twist-off bell-bottom fount is embossed on the top with the patent dates of "2/11/1896, 7/28/1908, 12/8/1908, 2-2-09 & 3-2-09". The wick adjuster will raise & lower the wick.
