This Sugg gas lamp came from Spalding railway station in Lincolnshire and was made redundant there in 1978. I restored it to full working order using spare parts from Sugg Lighting who still exist (see internet) and I have checked - they still offer spare parts to get it working again. Ll it needs apart from a good clean are three number 2 nozzles and three number 2 mantles. The pilot jet is all present and correct as are the'on/off' chains and tags.
The glass bowl is perfect. Also included are the P bracket, mounting plate and a short length of copper pipe to show how it is connected. Also some brochures I got in 1987 when I restored it. I used it as a front door light for many years but my new house does not have mains gas. I guess it could run on propane but I don't have that either!Let me know if you need any more information. If you live here just message me with your post code and I can check for you.
