The back side of the Warning Light Tower is deeply "embossed" as follows: General Railway Signal Co. A very distinct "GRS" Railroad Logo is located below the manufactures name information and an identification Box Number Plate (# 1261) is attached above. The Warning Light Tower Assembly has a Black powder coated finish (baked on enamel) and is hand lettered in Gold. The General Railway Signal Tower Assembly has a 1930-40's Western Electric Model 211 Telephone attached to the left side. That has been "converted for use on today's telephone system".
The telephone has an older style Western Electric "F-1" Handset, made of bakelite and includes a Cloth Covered Handset Cord. This Railroad Telephone will work fine with "regular" telephone service without a converter. Be sure to ask about other Police, Fire, Yellow Cab Taxi and Railroad Call Box Telephone Restorations. T he pictures may show some reflections in the powder coated finish. This Railroad Telephone is in absolutely beautiful condition.
