This is a NEW OLD STOCK Dietz Vesta New York USA lantern with the Jersey Central Line J. I was given to me back in the 1960's (when I was a kid) by a neighbor who was a retired railroad engineer. He gave it to me to hang near my model railroad set. I'm 64 now and I'm clearing out my home, so it's time to let this vintage time capsule move on to another person who will love it as much as I have.

The globe and all the parts are absolutely original, and in perfect, rust-free, dent-free and un-restored condition. The original finish, with some light patina due to age, remains throughout. It's in unbelievably, like-new condition. It even has the original wick with its distinctive g reen thread! Look carefully at the photos and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
