Lvrr Lehigh Valley Railroad Armspear Tall Lantern 1889
Some light surface rust and patina. There are a few minor dings and one small hole in one of the dings. One very shallow depression on the s. Oke holes that covers about 3-4 holes. Looks like the most recent patent date is 1889.
The color overall is a. Underside of the dome is quite clean with some minor surface patina and minor surface rust areas. The frame has a very good shape to it.
It has both horizontal wire and flat metal. The flat one has some surface pitting. The frame has a little flex to it which is common with this model.
Some of the joints look like the solder was touched up. There may have been a. The color of the frame and fount is a medium gray with some patina. The bale is well shaped with a dark brownish-gray patina with a mixture of smooth and very slight texture on the surface. Where there is a clear and dried sticky substance. It has a bubble in the glass. That comes out on the outside and is a little.The top edge has a ΒΌ inch rub mark, has some soiling and is chip free. With just a factory surface.
The bottom edge has flea bites/minor edge chipping. Which may or may not be from the factory. The top and bottom of the globe is not visible when installed. When the dial is turned.The fount and brass burner do not have any threading so the burner just sits in the fount. With a nice antique look to it.
