This is an excellent New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Peter Gray marker lantern. The lantern is complete, with the correct Peter Gray fount and burner. These founts and burners are usually missing, and if you have ever tried to find a replacement, you know they are almost non-existent as replacements and very costly to obtain by themselves. The burner, fount, and screen are all intact. Good paintwork/metalwork with only small blemishes due to age. One red and 3 amber lenses with no cracks. Super hard to find item from a railroad whose items are always in great demand! We believe it to be original and unrestored based on the look of the lantern.
