Fresh from the local Cape Cod estate we offer you this rare railroad lantern NY&NERR New York & New England RR Signal Lamp & Lantern Co. This lantern is taller than most, it measures approximately 11 tall. All flat verticals and horizontals. The dome has several patent dates but it is rusty and has remnants of paint, it is hard to read them.

There is no font or burner. The glass globe fits the lantern well and measures about 6 tall. The globe is old, thick and heavy and has few chips and a crack as shown.

There is overall rust to the frame and twist-off pot, no holes to the metal. This is collectible and very desirable lantern.
