Railroad Oil Kerosene Wall Lamp Brass Copper Williams Page WP Co Ca. For your consideration is a most unusual lamp from the late 19th or the turn of the 20th century. The lamp is mounted on an old piece of wood using ornate Victorian holders.
It is crafted of brass and copper. I have found ones like this used on railroad cars and manufactured by the Williams Page company of Boston, Massachusetts. The lamp is made of a heavy glass, the top caps made of brass and the bottom embossed with WP Co. I have not attempted to loosen the caps. Please review all of the photos to see the condition and the unusualness of this lamp. This is from an estate in south-central, Pennsylvania, Lancaster County. It may have been re-purposed from the railroad industry and used in another application.
