Railroad Pullman Sleeper Berth Lamp

RAILROAD PULLMAN BERTH LAMP as used in PULLMAN sleeping cars built from the 1920s thru early 1940s. Lamp is cast iron with a porcelain type material inside the shell where a screw-in electric light bulb was installed.

A collector using the Berth Lamp made the 7 inch x 12 inch metal plate with cut out to mount the Berth Lamp in a vertical position. This rugged but artistic style BERTH LAMP was used at every Pullman sleeping car berth as a night light or reading light.
