Rare Porter Railroad Presentation Lantern C. C. Simpson Nickel Silver Plated

This is a rare Porter Railroad Presentation Lantern, nickel silver plated. Lantern is 9 1/2 high. Top has a swing latch to release the top. Has a pinch, drop font burner with buttons to release the font.

Burner is complete with wick. Some of the plating on the burner and frame is worn away. Frame is solid with one or two very minor dings. There is a 5 extended base globe with a wheel cut wreath and the name C. Simpson (we believe he was a railway conductor).
