Santa Fe 1895 A&w Railroad Lantern Tall Globe Spelled Out Non Cross Logo Rare
SANTA FE 1895 A&W RAILROAD LANTERN TALL GLOBE SPELLED OUT NON CROSS LOGO RARE. Very nice, last patent date 1895 Adams & Westlake twist off model embossed on the lid in big letters, "SANTA FE". The frame has a darker patina that is very smooth on the lid, nice and even, with only some light pitting near the twist off font area. There are no holes, dents, or damage and the frame is complete from top to bottom with the original bail, bail stiffener, globe retainer assembly, lid latch, and the proper twist off font, burner included with functioning wick. The twist off font is tight going off and on but does function. Features a VERY tough to find matching globe in a variant not often seen. The famous Santa Fe logo is what tends to show up most, but this is an etched version, spelled out horizontally with "SANTA FE", more commonly seen in an extended base style variation. The globe does have some clouding and yellowing from age, but overall in great shape with only a couple no show in the frame rim flakes.
The globe also has the early Corning 1902 patents cast up near the top to boot. A great variation for your Santa Fe lantern collection!
