SANTA FE RAILROAD LANTERN Clear Cast Santa Fe Cross Logo Lantern Globe

Offered is a vintage piece of American Railroad History ; a Santa Fe Railroad Lantern with a matching Clear Cast Santa Fe Cross Logo Lantern Globe. The frame is an Adlake 1 Pc. Top Reliable Bellbottom and is embossed on the bell SANTA FE. The lantern frame is in excellent condition; has clean smooth metal, stands straight and has no major dents, extra holes drilled, bent, broken or missing parts. It comes with a threaded fount and embossed brass Adlake1909 patented burner.

The fount and burner are in excellent condition and the fount should hold fuel and burn if desired, but it is not tested. The 7/8 flat wick easily moves up and down when the adjuster is turned. The lantern globe is in excellent condition, free of scratches, cloudiness, chips, or cracks.

As with any globe that was used in actual railroad service there may be some minor nicks on the top and bottom rims that will not show when the frame is seated in the lantern frame. The Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad existed from 1870 to 1997 when it merged with Burlington Northern to form Burlington Northern - Santa Fe or BNSF.
