It is embossed on the shoulder in large letters SP , last patent date is 1897. The lantern frame is in excellent condition; nice smooth metal, stands straight, has no dents, bent, broken or missing parts and all solder joints are tight. It comes with the correct A&W large insert fount and Adlake brass burner. Fount & burner are fully functional; wick easily adjusts up and down, and would hold fuel and burn if desired. The Signal Yellow or Amber Etched Lantern Globe is in excellent condition; nicely etched SPCO in 5/8 letters and is free of chips, cracks, scratches or cloudiness.
As with any lantern globe that saw railroad service, there may be some roughness on the rims which will not show when the globe is seated in a lantern frame.
