VERY RARE UNION PACIFIC SMALL BOX LOGO CAST RAILROAD LANTERN GLOBE VERY NICE. This is an exceedingly rare globe.

The globe is cast Union over Pacific, Corning hallmarked with the Cnx logo on the reverse, but is a VERY tough variant to come by in the small box logo version. The more common version is a larger, more spread out box logo, often 1902 patented up top, and this is the smaller version where the letters are closer together.

This was only used by the UP for a very short time. The globe is in excellent condition with no large chips, and no cracks. One, little mold flaw along the bottom inside. It will fit into a Handlan tall globe, or any Adams & Westlake tall globe with a globe seat, so it just needs a frame to complete.
