Vintage Brass Lamp with Boston & Maine Railroad RR Shade Needs Repair & Rewiring

I can't even begin to tell you what they did to this lamp, in relation to the wiring. There appears to be a wire cut from the top of the lampshade (which holds the bulb), as well as a wire running from underneath the lamp. This thing will need to be completely rewired. It also looks like the lamp is missing a bolt to hold up the metal piece that holds the lampshade up.

It appears as though it may have a brass base, though I can't say for sure. Definitely needs to be rewired.
