Vintage German Osmeka Railroad Signal Lantern 17 Tall Estate Fresh

Item up for sale is remarkable vintage metal bodied railroad signal lantern (magnetic when tested) marked as being made by Osmeka. Item has NOT been tested and should be examined by a professional PRIOR to ANY attempted use. This piece was found with a burner on the inside which is braced by a wooden frame / stand that appears to have been a later addition or replacement made by the original owner.

Item has no fuel in the reservoir / font and new owner will need to add their own. Wick is present though we have no idea how old it may be and new owner may desire a modern replacement. Burner exhibits tarnish and patina consistent with age and use.

Reflective disc on the interior shows some soiling and patina and would benefit from a polish with no cracks or breaks. Glass in the lantern all exhibit soiling and patina with no cracks or breaks. Metal body shows patina and soiling throughout consistent with age and use and would benefit from a detail cleaning and polish. Some light spots of surface rust are present with metal body showing no cracks, dents or breaks. Lantern measures 17" top to bottom (including handle) by 9" across the widest point by 8 in depth.
