Vintage Japanese Railway Inspection Lamp / Lantern - Showa Era. A vintage Japanese railway inspection lamp believed to date from the former Japanese National Railways (JNR) era. This type of portable inspection lamp was used by railway personnel for inspection and maintenance work.

The lamp features a large front lens, metal body, reflector, incandescent bulb and a carrying handle with a wooden grip. It is believed to be related to the type of railway inspection lamps manufactured by Hakko-sha in Japan. 24 × 10.8 × 15 cm. Metal / Glass / Wood. Vintage used condition with significant age-related wear. There are scratches, stains, discoloration, oxidation, rust and corrosion throughout the metal surfaces.
