Vintage Kenyon's KENLITE Railway Signal Lamp British Rail Lantern BS3143 Red

Vintage Kenyon's "KENLITE" railway signal lamp manufactured in England and built to British Standard BS 3143 specifications. These durable signal lanterns were used by British railway guards and signalmen for trackside signaling and yard operations. Their rugged steel construction and distinctive Fresnel lenses made them a dependable tool throughout the British rail network. This example retains its original kerosene/paraffin burner assembly, making it a complete and desirable piece for collectors of railroadiana and vintage railway equipment.

Original red Fresnel railway signal lens. Interior reflector lenses for amplified signal visibility. Original kerosene burner reservoir present.

Large hanging hook for rail or trackside mounting. One photo shows the lens illuminated with a flashlight placed inside the lantern to demonstrate the vibrant red Fresnel signal lens and optical pattern. Very good vintage condition with authentic railway wear consistent with age and use.
