Vintage Railroad Lantern Lamp PRESENTATION TWO COLOR GLOBE BELL BOTTOM DIETZ

Up for consideration is a Vintage Original Dietz No. 3 Brass Bell Bottom Railroad Conductor Presentation Lantern with Green over Clear Globe that's in Excellent Condition.

Looks all original showing signs of use, wear and age but I don't see or feel any breaks, cracks or chips in the globe. Lantern : Looks straight/square/solid/symetrical with some finish loss and some marring/rub marks/scratches but I don't see any broken or missing parts I believe the Top/Chimney has two small manufacturing flaws... A dimple/impression about 3/4 inches long (see photo 7) and a small "pinched" area with a tiny hairline crack about 1/8 inches long (see photo 8). Burner is marked "Dietz Convex" which unscrews easily from fount and the wick adjustment knob turns freely but no wick is present (see photo 4). The fount has some residue inside but is otherwise quite clean (see photo 5).

Fount/burner unscrews easily from base and I don't see any holes or damage. Globe: Unmarked Green over Clear Globe has some slight marring/rub marks, some slight discoloration, some tiny darks spots here and there and a few flea bites but I don't see or feel any breaks, cracks or chips. Lantern and Globe have wonderful color and design that would display nicely. Lantern measures approximately 10 1/2 inches tall with a base of about 5 1/2 inches and weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces total with globe.

Globe stands 4 3/4 inches tall with outer top rim dimension of 2 1/4 inches and bottom outer rim dimension of 2 1/2 inches. Come s from my late father's Railroadiana collection of over 50 years. Please look at the photos carefully as I've tried to show the wonderful condition of this item that comes from a smoke free, pet free and climate controlled environment.
