Vintage Reading Railroad Lantern w/ Corning Cobalt Blue Globe - Dietz Vesta. This is a Dietz Vesta Reading Railroad Transportation Department Lantern. Shows very little signs of use or wear, almost like new. Some corrosion around oil container. Has a Cobalt Blue Globe made by Corning.

The Blue globe was used to indicate that someone was working on the train and the train was not to be moved or coupled to. Lantern was produced sometime after 1956 as there is no manufacturing date or patent number stamped in it which was stopped in 1956.
