A vintage LNER Welch Patent railway lamp for the (now closed) Barnwell Junction station in Cambridgeshire : the top of the lamp with a swing handle (chained chimney cap missing) and embossed'LNER, Rd No 711205, WELCH PATENT', the font / base with a captive filler cap and an embossed'M' to two sides and an applied'BARNWELL JCN' plaque to one side, and the 4 glass body with a (completely rubbed) brass makers plaque to the hinged door, which opens via a sliding pin to access the brass burner signed'Planlite Reg Pat App For' to the wick winder button circa second quarter 20th C.
Size : Approx 9 tall exc. Handle on a 5 3/4 base. Condition : Good, well used vintage condition with expected marks / wear, old painted finish removed, makers plaque completely rubbed, no chimney cap or chain, sealant?
